Connecticut River Internists are proud to announce the 2nd Annual Bruce’s Run/Walk for Hospice. The late Dr. Bruce Van Boeckel was a key founding member and the first Medical Director of Hospice of Franklin County in 2004, and one of the original partners of Connecticut River Internists. We will be holding this event each year to raise much needed monies to honor Dr. Van Boeckel’s commitment to the provision of locally based hospice care in Franklin County. Hospice provides many programs and services to the Franklin County community for terminally ill patients and their families regardless of their ability to pay.
The 2011 Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, April 17th at 8 Burnham Street (office of Connecticut River Internists), Turners Falls, Mass. Building on the success of our 2010 event, three options will be offered this spring: a 2 mile Fun Walk, a 5K Run and 10K Run. MALDEN, MA – This Saturday Feb 19, 2011 20 young Mystics between the ages of 16 and 18 will head to Ireland for a week of rugby. The boys will play 3 matches against top Irish youth programs and will attend training sessions with top Irish international coaches. The tour will begin in Dublin with matches against Balbriggan and Suttonians and end in Galway with a match against the Buccaneers. Coaches Buzz, JR and Mully will accompany the team along with a few brave parents. The boys will also have an opportunity to experience Irish culture and sightseeing with the highlight being a Magners League professional match between Leinster and Bennetton Treviso.
WOBURN, MA – The 2011 spring playoff season has begun. Trainings are indoors at Athletic Evolution in Woburn, MA on Tuesdays and Thursdays 8-10PM. Please bring $6 with you for each training session. Arrive early and ready to go, bring water and training shoes (running or turf, no cleats or outside shoes allowed).
