The Mystics really struggled in the scrums, losing a number of balls against the head, and the backs lacked penetration, making it very difficult to build a platform to attack from.

NYAC Pull Away to Big Win

PELHAM, NY – The Mystics didn’t play their best rugby against NYAC, but were very much in the game for the first 60 minutes or so, despite playing into a very strong wind for the first forty minutes. Unfortunately, the game opened up in the second half, and NYAC pulled away to a scoreline that didn’t quite represent all of the match.

Mystic River Notches its First League Win

MALDEN, MA – After two hard-fought losses, the Mystics knew that they needed to produce the goods against Middlesex to come away with the win. However, the team couldn’t quite find any fluidity in the first half, and were kept somewhat on the back foot by a structured Middlesex team. Despite things not quite clicking for the Mystics, they still managed to take a slim 12-10 lead into half time.
