Mystic River vs  Dartmouth College

PINE BANKS PARK - On a beautiful Spring day, Dartmouth College made the trek to face the Mystic River Ruggers hoping to end our winning streak. Great rugby was displayed on both sides. Even though Dartmouth's backs put together a brilliant running try early on in the match, the Mystics' old-man strength proved to be too much for the young Ivy Leaguers in the end. The match finished with the Mystic Blue on top 15-5.

3/24/2007 Old Gold / S. Shore Anchors

PINE BANKS PARK - The First XV took the field this past Saturday and wasted no time as they stormed down the pitch and scored on their first possession. For the first 20 minutes, the rugged Mystic forwards were too much for the Old Gold Defenders as they rarely missed the gain line and dominated on attack. Tactical kicking and solid defense by the Mystic backline also disrupted any of Old Gold's momentum. While Old Gold had been within 5 meters of a try on a couple occasions the relentless Mystic tacklers would not let them in. The match finished, Mystic 32 - Old Gold 0. However, Lady Luck was not with the Mystic Second XV as they faced off against the playoff-bound South Shore Anchors. After an impressive offensive and defensive first half by the Mystics, fresh legs helped the Anchors to weather the Mystic Storm and take the win.

Mystic River Rolls Over Worcester

PINE BANKS PARK - The Mystics came out strong this past Saturday against a playoff bound Worcester side. After a 3 month break following the past fall season, the cork finally exploded and the bottled up intensity of the Mystic players poured all over their home pitch. The tough, scrappy forwards lead the charge, man-handling the opposition. This outright dominance in and around the rucks forced our opponents to tighten up their defense and the Mystic backline was given room to showcase their talent scoring multiple tries on the outside for a final tally of 42-14. This was an important game, but the taste of victory has only sparked a deeper hunger in the Blue for another win.
